| Utilizing
our extensive mapping experiences and expertise, Marceline Mapping
now offers GIS Digital Parcel Maps. This unique service is designed
to assist County Assessors manage their valuable real estate tax
parcels through a digital solution.
Using
GIS technology and software, Marceline Mapping will build GIS
Digital Parcel Maps that replace traditional mylars and working
maps. GIS Digital Parcel Maps will provide the Assessor and
their staff with the following advantages:
|
|
|
Exceeds
Mapping Standards. Our GIS Digital Parcel Maps are carefully
built to exceed existing state tax mapping standards. The final
GeoDatabase is projected in State Plane Coordinate system and
registered to the Public Land Survey System (PLSS). Adjustments
are made to any objects to ensure updated and accurate Digital
Parcel Maps. |
|
|
Maps
and Data are linked together. With a GIS Digital Parcel Map,
your parcel maps and CAMA data is linked together in one system.
This gives you instant access to all information for each individual
parcel in the entire County. You will be able to provide all necessary
information to your customers instantaneously using your GIS Digital
Parcel Maps. |
|
|
Instant
Access. No longer will the Assessor or their staff have to
wade through stacks of large, hard copy maps. They can find any
parcel or separate parcel map in the County instantly on their
current computer. This will save you valuable time and energy
and will make customers happy, too. |
|
|
Multiple
Search Capabilities. The Assessor and staff can search for
and find parcels and data based on just about any piece of information
that is tied to individual parcels. If you just know a name, or
address, or parcel ID, or acres, or anything else that exists
in your tax assessment database, you can find that parcel very
quickly on your GIS Digital Parcel Map. Another valuable time
saver. |
|
|
Ease
of Maintenance/Updates. With digitized maps and data, records
are very easy to update. Marceline Mapping can provide map maintenance
on a regular schedule or the Assessor's staff can learn to do
it on their own. Everyone benefits from having maps as current
as possible. |
|
|
Hard
Copy Maps. Using existing printer equipment, you can print
copies of individual parcels or specific areas of the County from
your computer using the GIS Digital Parcel Maps. You can "zoom"
to the exact parcel or group of parcels and print to the scale
that is needed. A "plotter" can be purchased to print
large area maps similar to what your existing working maps look
like; or, we could print large maps for you. This will be a budget-stretcher
by being able to sell more maps to your customers. |
|
|
Orthophotography
Layer - Aerials.
Since GIS Digital Parcel Maps are built in layers, Marceline Mapping
will add the very latest digital Orthophotography that is available.
This will allow you to "see" anything that is shown
in your aerial views right along with every other object on the
map such as Parcel lines, roads, etc. We have available resources
to assist in the updating of your Orthophotography if that is
needed for your county. |
| Lastly,
Marceline Mapping will build your property tax parcels to GIS
standards at a fraction of the cost of a full blown GIS system.
We can do this because we concentrate exclusively on duplicating
tax parcel maps in a digital format, our area of expertise. All
roads in the County will also be "adjusted" and properly
aligned with parcel boundaries.
This
is the County's first step for building a GIS system which can
be expanded as needs and budgets allow. With this solution in
place, the county can manage other assets maintained at the
county level by simply adding on to it.
If
you would like to learn more about how Marceline Mapping can
get the Assessor and the County started with GIS, and not break
your budget, please call Scott or Mark at 816-528-4336 or
